See Picture Below.

This is The Bomb. Six pounds. Two feet long. Enough calories to put an entire army on Biggest Loser. Elliott's going to dominate it. I'm going to be watching... and videotaping and vomiting. No words. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29464655/

The sweat is gonna fill your head, when it becomes too much you'll shout aloud...

Beatle lyrics... Elliott and I are going to Las Vegas this Sunday through Tuesday. Sadly we won't be seeing The Beatle's, "Love" Cirque Du Soleil show but it will still be a Magical Mystery Tour in the most literal way-- minus the acid. For the record, I saw the "Love" show two years ago with my mom and sister Anna and it was one of the best things I have ever seen. Oh, and I couldn't resist posting this lovely white trash picture of the MGM from the 90s to demonstrate my enthusiasm on how classy Vegas is.

There's little on the agenda that we have actually planned other than we're staying at the MGM, laying out by the pool to tan our sexy selves, shopping at the outlet malls and Elliott is  going to eat "The Bomb" at
the NASCAR Cafe... I will devote a separate post to said Bomb after I post this. Anyway, neither of us has been able to stress how badly we have wanted and needed this mini-vacation. It will be our first trip since the honeymoon and we are going to take FULL advantage of it until our California trip in July (where there will also be an abundance of outlet malls).

If You're Listening...

Last night was Jimmy Eat World's Clarity X 10 concert at Marquee Theatre. We went with a number of our friends--fantastic! I'm not a total JEW fanatic but love so much of their stuff, not to mention going to any rockin' concert. Period. The last two standing-only concerts we had been to I took my purse and regretted it. This time I left it in the car (concealed by my brightly colored non-conspicuous jacket). Worrying that it would be detected by a frisker's hand, I left my camera  in the car too. I probably should've just risked it but I had such an immensely severe urge to pee that I wouldn't have been able to take it back to the car and make it back to the bathroom in time. Anyway, I just felt as though I had to justify it because I've really been trying to document so much of our lives through pictures lately.  I wish I could've gotten at least ONE picture of us that night but here are some good ones our friend Ruben took (in the true fashion of standing-only shows, he wasn't even close to where we were standing).

Jim Adkins' hair is probably my favorite thing about the band. It hasn't changed since 1993 and I'm a sucker for immortal hair styles (why do you think I love the Beatle cuts so much)?! My favorite song of the night wasn't even from Clarity. After they finished the album they did an eight song encore and played some of their biggest (and not so biggest) hits. One of my favorites from the band is called "Work" from Futures and was ecstatic when they started up on it. Next stop, Killers in April!... Then Paul McCartney? He is playing Coachella April 17. Anyone want to take me? My husband won't!!!

By the way. Our cat is home. Spayed, declawed (on all four paws too)! and mellower than ever. Her name is Bixby--like the Death Cab song (Bixby Canyon Bridge).

Is There Anybody Going to Listen to my Story, All About the Girl That Came to Stay?

Meet our little girl with no name--our little cat that is. Never thought it would happen, huh? Well it did. That means hell froze over, pigs flew and a black man became president. Lately I've been sending Elliott pictures of free kittens off of craigslist. We looked at one on Thursday night that wasn't too old, ugly, dusty looking or fat by his standards. The night went on and the laptop was shut. I wasn't heartbroken because I knew when it was time to get a cat we would get one--not to sound melodramatic, it's not as though she's a child..... BUT ANYWAY.

On our way home from shopping in Tempe, Elliott took a turn on the road that didn't exactly lead toward Gilbert, it led toward Ahwatukee! I was suspicious. Sure enough, he confessed to having called the woman with the 11 month old kitten that wasn't too old, ugly, dusty looking or fat by his standards. Thirty minutes later we were riding home with our new kitty, free of charge.

She's a little mischevious, and a little restless during the night (looks like the laundry room will be her new bedroom at bedtime) but she's ours! After four declaws (yeah, we're that cautious) and a spaying this week, she'll be set to settle in. In the mean time... what about that name?!
