Friday Favorites

I make lists to keep me sane. It's actually something Elliott and I have in common. I don't mean the typical grocery (which I do make) or  to-do (which I should make) lists. I like making lists of my favorite movies, my favorite shows, my favorite books (even if they are all children's books), my favorite eateries, my favorite candy, etc., etc., etc. It's kind of  like my version of knitting or needlework. It keeps my mind busy and is oddly enjoyable. SO here is my first list that I've made 10 times over: my favorite movies. I actually had it up to 50, solid, films, but it was done on a writing notepad app I had on an old phone and disappeared when it was wiped for re-sale. Shameful. Some of these movies are quite shameful too, actually. Oh well, different loves for different reasons. I'm sure this isn't even my "real" list, but I worked with what my memories had.

1.      A Hard Day's Night (1964)

2.      Help! (1965)
3.      The Sound of Music (1965)
4.      The Notebook (2004)
5.      Forrest Gump (1994)
6.      Pay It Forward (2000)
7.      Life Is Beautiful (La vita è bella) (1997)
8.      Roman Holiday (1953)
9.      The Count of Monte Cristo (2002)
10. To Kill A Mockingbird (1962)
11. The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
12. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
13. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)
14. The 40-Year-Old-Virgin (2003)  Even edited, this movie makes me laugh harder than no other.
15. The Color Purple (1985)
16. Awakenings (1990)
17. Hook (1991)
18. Stranger Than Fiction (2006)
19. Beauty and the Beast (1991)
20. October Sky (1999)
21.  Cinderella Man (2005)
22. Nacho Libre
23.  Dead Poets Society (1989)
24.  City of Angels (1998)
25. What’s Eating Gilbert Grape (1993)
Honorable Mention: Mystery Science Theatre 3000: Overdrawn at the Memory Bank (because Elliott is probably disgusted at my list enough, this would likely put him over the edge).

I am loving this sequence of events. M&M's then M&M crash. Beckett loves Kacey. And M&M's. Hopefully he loves Kacey more though...

I wouldn't be offended if the M&M's rate higher. I would certainly understand.

HAHA Melissa, that is hysterical! Glad to know I'm supported in my lists--and what's on them! Hope sweet lil' Marlee is doing wonderfully.
